Schoenen Torfs is acquiring a majority stake in the Dutch online fashion platform The Little Green Bag, announced on 17 September. For Torfs it is the first takeover in the company's history. The retailer wants to add targeted acquisitions to its organic growth and gradually build a "fashion family" of complementary brands, each keeping its own identity while sharing expertise, technology and support services where it adds value.

The deal follows a strong run. In 2025 Torfs posted record figures for the third year in a row, with revenue of €172.5 million excluding VAT and EBITDA of €20.4 million, a margin of almost 12%.

The Little Green Bag was founded in 2009 by Aramis and Maria Gandjapour and started as an online bag shop. It now sells shoes, clothing, bags, accessories, home & living and kids' products, with brands such as Birkenstock, UGG, New Balance, Veja, Asics and On.

The platform keeps its own name and its headquarters in Schiedam, and the founders stay on as shareholders and CEOs. The Little Green Bag hopes to strengthen its position in the Netherlands and to accelerate its growth in Belgium with Torfs behind it. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
