What is MOMA

In the brand's laboratories, every day artisans and designers, workers and artists share their

experiences and skills - because a good idea is a good idea no matter what head it comes from.

There is only one requirement to enter the MOMA world: being willing to get your hands dirty among new

ideas and ancient wisdom, original techniques and tried-and-tested methods.

Who we are

MOMA was born from the ambitions of Gigio and Daniele Gironacci, intent on going beyond the goal of

producing shoes to embrace the mission of creating wearable sculptures, true monuments to

style embellished by artful aging.

Every fold of leather becomes a wrinkle of experience in which the meaning of work nestles.

What we do

First of all, we get our hands dirty. We manipulate creativity and raw materials with the same transformative approach, adopting techniques and processes inspired by the skills of artists and farmers, of Picasso and the country carpenter.

Like them, we give shape to a vision. The value of our shoes lies in the time we have spent making them unique.

What guides us

A perfect thing is not necessarily well made, and in concert a well-made thing does not necessarily have to be perfect.

Rejecting with conviction the orthodoxy of the impeccable, MOMA shoes bear the signs of an instinctive and sensual creativity that treats leather as a canvas to be transformed into a style statement.

Where we are

MOMA is a diamond tip nestled among the hills of the Marche.

Our loyalty to the territory is a lifestyle choice and a philosophy: the one with the places that surround us is a continuous exchange from which we draw energy, history and ingenuity. Each of our

products is the expression of a simple and immediate story that has never cut ties with

past experiences.

Where we come from

There is a line of demarcation between tradition and new craftsmanship, just as there is a line

that connects the old day with the new: it is Midnight that watches over our

work.

We like to think that everything we do is the evolution of something that preceded it. Our

treatments are often inspired by the mold of the vine, the moss of the trunks, rust - all

those things that have an origin and an end in evidence.

How we present ourselves

Exactly how we are. When in the 80s we started producing "used and dirty"

we didn't want to invent a trend but simply wear products that already showed their

own lived personality.
